On Science Friday my fellow-guest was Cy Tymony author of Sneaky Uses For Everyday Things. If you like Make Magazine, you’ll love this book– Milk can be turned into plastic or an adhesive; with the twist of a screw any FM radio can eavesdrop on aircraft broadcasts; a radio can be made from a penny. We’re going to see if Cy will do some articles for future issues of Make too! Once we get our Make:Audio shows posted, I’ll see if Cy will do an interview with us as well.

I was thumbing through this book just a few days ago and I thought the plastic (well, casein which he explains in the article) from milk idea was a terrific idea. The Macgyver in all of us needs this book, and his sources and uses of electrical wire are pretty incredible.
PT, you have a great radio voice!

thank you for the kind words– we’re about to release our audio shows soon!
