Use your Powerbook with EVDO

evdo.jpgAs some of you noticed I was offline for a couple days this week, at the peak of depression (wireless deprivation) I considered grabbing a EVDO card, but since I use a Mac for some of my work, the card I was considering didn’t seem supported. No longer! The folks over on EVDOinfo.com have posted the instructions on using the Novatel v620 from Verizon. If anyone tries this out and can confirm that it works the comments it would be much appreciated.

We have had over 10,000 people look at that page (and we have help many people get it working – so yes it works). Lots of people have followed the steps and that allowed their Novatel V620 to work. We also released a simple Novatel V620 installer/driver (need to register to be able to download) which works much better. Finally, we created a Mac EVDO page that tries to explain it all!
