DRig writes- Hack the “disposable” digital camera that CVS sells for $20. Includes all wiring diagrams, steps, and software needed to be able to take the images off the camera to your computer. Link.
Unless it’s just me, I think the site has been removed or is down temporarily. Thankfully I had printed the instructions. My USB cable works great but the software driver for the camera I can’t find other than on that website. Anyone else know where to find “libusb-win32-bin-0.1.8.0″ ? Thanks!
Here is a link to a “Cached” version of the page. The only draw back to this is that anything associated with the original site name is not working (i.e. links, and photos). [LINK]
You can however download the other software listed and print the instructions from this cached site. I would recommend it while you still can.
Thanks for the interest in my site. It has been up for a few months with lots of hits. It was down for a couple of days last week as I was out of down and the internet connection went down (home based server). If someone wants to host a mirror of my page, just let me know.
This Summer Fun Guide is brimming with over 50 projects for kids of all ages. You’ll also find inspiring young maker profiles, as well as tool reviews written for and by kids! Plus, it’s our 3D issue, complete with 3D glasses and tons of super-cool 3D photos!

Anyone got a mirror? I’m interested as well…
