No Potter ebook version? Ebook fans made their own…

Harrypotter Cp 7243368 …Thanks to Mrs Rowling’s insistence not to release an electronic version of the new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, underground e-book pirates have already began to do the work for themselves. There are now homemade text and audio versions of the book all over the place; this somewhat reminds me of when Battlestar Galactica was released in the UK and not in the USA. Would folks buy a digital version of the Potter book if it was available? I think so. On that note, an e-version of MAKE will be out soon! [via] Link and Link.

e-version of MAKE? cool! I wish it will be also in Mobipocket Reader format – my favorite.

Harry Potter ? No robots in it, so not for me ;-)

you’ll be able to convert it to just about any format, like mobipocket- maybe i’ll do a version if there’s enough interest.

  3. While I understand Ms. Rowling’s desire to have readers experience the hard-print versions of her work–I think she’s a bit short-sighted in her refusal to consider e-book releases of the Harry Potter books. The last few books of the series have in particular been larger, heavier books–and as an older person with arthritis in my hands, reading these books was genuinely painful. I didn’t want to purchase audio versions because I’ve never liked being read to–not even as a child–but I would gladly and happily welcome e-book versions! I’d re-purchase the entire series in e-book format, because as far as I’m concerned, these books are “keepers.”
