Here’s MAKE photo pool member Mr.Bill’s Basic Stamp set up (and tinkering)…My BASIC Stamp bench setup. RS232 that goes to a serial-to-USB adapter connected to the iMac G5, Radio Shack 9V 300mA “battery eliminator” for power, and parts, parts, and more parts. Link.










Your Basic Stamp bench setup should include grounding write strap. Stamps are super sensitive to transients, and at the price point, that static gets expensive. I guess that’s the price you pay for being too lazy to program a pic.
It also shouldn’t include BASIC because that’s an ancient and retarded language. I bet you won’t follow my advice, though, because you only speak Latin.
