ElephantStaircase’s VGA to RJ45 conversion – “A VGA monitor connection only requires 8 conductors for operations. Although it has many pins, they are not all needed, and some are used for keying. An Ethernet cable (CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6) cable has 8 conductors and can carry the signal a long distance on a thin cable for cheap.” Thanks Jher! Link.

one warning on this: using this type of cable with some monitors/projectors will cause ghosting to various degrees of images on screen. i’ve tried doing somthing similar to this as well as using seperate coaxial cables for RGBHV with similar results. lowering the refresh as much as possible seems to help with the problem.
anyone know what might happen if you runn this into a hub and try and split the signal to multiple projectors?
