   I used to make blowguns from 3/8ths pvc and the darts from pins stuck through plastic valve stem caps from bicycle tubes .you can ask the other kids in the neighborhood it worked really well,(well not for johnny)

   I used those plastic round caps (for cap guns) fitted to a pin as shown, and blown through a straw. I really am sorry for prematurely ageing my mother.

   Rigid wire cut at an angle for point, then heated and melted into plastic beads worked great for me.
