On the webpage, he’s got up a warning. Be sure you read it and understand it. Rebreathers are a lot of fun to use, but they will kill you with no warning. Most notable for this one (being an O2 only breather) is that you will tox out on O2 at depths below roughly 20 feet. So don’t go deeper than 20 feet with it.
If you really want to make an O2 rebreather, take a look at FEOR Light or the FEOR Light with Heads Down Display. These two are a little more expensive to build, but they’re a lot safer because they have an electronic PPO2 monitor – still limited to 20 feet, but at least you know your PP02.
There is a lot of information on the net about homebrew rebreathers that use mixed gas, and thus don’t have the 20 foot depth limit.
