Barbara writes – “A couple of freshman roomates at MIT set up a full-fledged dorm room automation system, complete with voice activation, web control, touch screen controllers, a security system, fingerprint scanner, automatic blinds, screens with news feeds, etc, all actuated by a central “MIDAS” controller which they built and wrote the code for. Pretty cool stuff.
