Adam writes – “On a lazy Sunday afternoon, some time back now. I decided to build a synthesizer. Analogue electronics is not really my thing, I’m much more a digital person but when I found a design online for The #3 Standard WoggleBug, I just had to build one.” – Link.

I can’t seem to open the schematic image.
Does anyone else have it.
I can open it fine, maybe you should try again.
Ok now it opens fine.
Where do you get the VTL5C3 and VTL5C3/2 from.
I couldn’t get a VTL5C3 either so I substituted an opto-isolator I found in my junk box, I can’t remember off the top of my head exactly what the part number was, When I get home tonight I will find the part number and post it here.
Sorry, I remembered wrong. I actually used a 500k pot instead of the VTL5C3. The purpose is to provide some feedback to the LFO, you could do that in lots of different ways, or even leave it out altogether and the thing would probably work just fine.
I made some other changes as I was building it so I could use parts I already had to hand. The only bits I actually bought were the LF398 sample and hold chip, a couple of 1M pots and some colourful knobs. My goal was just to have fun, not neccessarily to stick exactly to Grant’s design.
