Heh, that made me laugh as I almost commented on the original post about how easy it was to do this stuff on old Atari computers. If memory serves me correctly, it was because they had a few A/D converters built into the units for the analog game controllers (the paddles maybe?)
It would be nice to hear from some science teachers about what kinds of probeware experiments they do as maybe a cheap interface to an A/D converter would be a feasible open-source hardware project?
If Brian is reading this, get in touch. My sister has an Atari 400 set I bet she’d love to sell.
