I’ve always been interested in sterling engines and how just by a temperature gradient work could be done. This is attractive technology since anything that produces heat (solar death ray) can be converted into other forms of energy ie. acoustical or electrical. While doing research on the subject, I was intrigued by the thermalacoustic engine. This thermalacoustic effect can be used as a cooler, an engine, or a musical instrument as shown in this website. This maker shows how he using items like exhaust caps to control the musical notes. When I found this, I instantly thought of MAKE. I hope yall enjoy.

Shouldn’t the distance between the hot and cold heat exchangers vary with frequency of the pipe?
Anyone have any idea how this could be made more efficient? How do you get from 1000 degree temperature differences to 90 degree temperature differences? Does it need better heat exchangers, a longer regenerator, pressurized tubes?
