An artist called “The Decapitator” is modding advertisements in London to make them more gruesome (unless you think the original ads were worse, then this might be an improvement) – Link.

Amusing and horrifying at the same time. Nothing is more dangerous to public welfare than a bored artist! This poor person is just begging for an ASBO.

Absolutely brilliant “execution” of a lame idea. Cheap gruesome shock value overlaying crass capitalism. It’s been done to death. Hope to see more work but with better underlying concepts.

As a side note, somebody pays for the vandalism aspect as well. Some employer is going to have a bit less to give it’s employees this year because some twit wanted to show off at someone else’s expense.

Are there any projects out there on the intertubes that you can post that lifts humanity up at all? Some flowers, some “happy trees” maybe?
Art is cool! Fringe art is cool! Anti-Social art is cool… but ya gotta find a balance too.
I’m just sayin’ is all, and a little concerned.
