This is interesting – it seems that a group of artists have celebrated 1-31-07 in their own way and have created a series of political themed LED art sculptures and (you guessed it) placed them all over Boston. Boston band Destroy Babylon released a single today celebrating Aqua-Gate, entitled “This is Not a Bomb”. Artwork features a crazy Fat Fink version of Ignignokt.

I hate to burst your bubble, but if someone has explosives, and wants to use them, they will, and at that point there is very little that can be done about it.
Unless you’re prepared for everyone to walk around naked all the time, carry only transparent bags, and have no non-permanent objects of any kind on the street anywhere, ever, shut up with the knee-jerk “you’d have been sorry if it was a real bomb” crap.
The ends do not justify the means, especially in retrospect.
What do you think is ultimately going to do more damage in the aggregate, including wasted money, not to mention making everyone live in a constant state of either fear or desensitization? A few pipe bombs, or shutting the entire city down anytime someone doesn’t recognize some blinking lights? Oh, wait, they weren’t even bombs. but there were some pipe bombs tha tsame week, and they didn;t shut the city down. hmmm.
If you think something is a bomb, check it out before you bring the city to a halt.

You’re speaking as if terrorism were a constant threat, with bombs going off in major cities at such a rate that fear and paranoia might possibly be a rational response.
Stop hyperventilating with your imaginary fears, look around yourself, and quit being such a damn coward.
America would still be a strong, brave, and free nation if it weren’t for sniveling primates like yourself who can’t rid themselves of our freedoms fast enough so that they can, barely, imagine themselves slightly safer.

vandals. The bomb threat was idiotic, but those guys a year ago did break the law. They vandalized public and private property with corporate advertising to make a quick buck.
Now, a year later, to celebrate, some other break the law again. If you want to protest, please do so in a legal fashion. We don’t need more vandalism in Boston, no matter how clever the vandals think it is.
