Following up on our previous post about this project, this video of the “Reconfigurable House” project shows how thousands of low-tech components can be used and rewired by visitors to the structure. The project is a different take on the idea of the “smart home” such that instead of assuming that technology should be kept invisible to people and hidden, this house brings all of the tech to the foreground to allow for daily DIY interaction with the systems that control it. Think of it as a custom built house for all Makers.
