Interesting article (and video) @ CBS news about regrowing organs… regenerative powder, also you can lose part of your finger from a hobby airplane, be careful! -
That powder is a substance made from pig bladders called extracellular matrix. It is a mix of protein and connective tissue surgeons often use to repair tendons and it holds some of the secrets behind the emerging new science of regenerative medicine.“It tells the body, start that process of tissue regrowth,” said Badylak.
Badlayk is one of the many scientists who now believe every tissue in the body has cells which are capable of regeneration. All scientists have to do is find enough of those cells and “direct” them to grow.

My only question is why is this only being shown now? Two years after his finger was re-grown?
Apply directly to the buttocks.
Apply directly to the buttocks.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Alan, that’s actually the body his fingertip regrew.
If the story is true that would be amazing.
“Pig bladders”? In what way are these pig bladders modified? Does anyone have papers relating to this?
Imagine if it’s just pureed and dehydrated pig bladder (or something equally simple). We could have garage-grown limbs in no time. Imagine the potential for body modification if you could chop off your limbs and re-grow them from scratch. What once took years and an abusive parent could now be accomplished in just weeks!
Please. There are some of us who would be so happy to hear that brain cells could be regenerated after a stroke rendered them useless.
