Processing 1.0 is out – Arduino and Wiring are physical computing initiatives related to Processing, open source, data visualization, amazing work – and now it’s 1.0!

Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. It is created to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook and professional production tool. Processing is an alternative to proprietary software tools in the same domain.

I really wish they would come up with a more unique name for this software. It’s lovely a lovely little system with much potential, but its common-word name makes it nearly impossible to Google successfully.

I mean, if I search for “Arduino code”, the results I get are about 99.9% relevant to the topic. “Processing code”, however, give like 10% relevancy
