Metal Web News is not much to look at, but it’s an absolute teasure-trove for metalsmiths, welders, casters, and blacksmiths. Also home of the venerable Usenet Metalworking FAQ. I’m not a metalworker, so I can’t judge the veracity of the material, but it sure seems wide-reaching and appears infinitely useful.
