A few weeks ago some of the parents at the local grammar school asked me where they could find cool projects to build for the science fair. I pointed them to the MAKE blog of course! We have tons of posts that are tagged “Kids” & “Science” that are great for inspiration.

It’s a few weeks later and it’s really cold out tonight, but I still made the trip over to the school so could check out what the kids made for the fair. As you can guess, there were plenty of volcano’s that erupted on command. However, there was one project that I had to check out.

One of the kids decided to build Hero’s Fountain based on my build from MAKE. It was great to see a kid explain how it worked. During the presentation it tipped over and I was completely soaked, but who cares….it worked! Did I mention it’s cold out?
