350.org is hoping to raise awareness of the need and possibilities of reducing the carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere to 350 parts per million. What can we makers do to turn this challenge into an opportunity?

i would rather encourage the fall of western civilization and rebuild it better faster and stronger with fellow makers.
Yes, because I think people who create steampunk goggles out of egg cartons and old hurricane lamps are immensely qualified to NOT ONLY run society BUT ALSO make the damn thing in the first place!
May I ask why you chose to show the graph per default on the “Case for significant anthropogenic climate change remains unclear” option rather than the more open upper level “Is human activity changing the Earth’s climate?” ?
Seems a little biased way to introduce the debate.
That was the level it was at when I found the chart. It is a new system to me and I did not see the upper levels. I suppose it could be changed, but I like the way the chart allows you to explore the information. It is a good example of interactive info. There are other neat things that can be done with that particular technology, and I am interested in seeing more.
Sorry, no, could we please leave bad science off this website? Sure, if you want to be terrorized by scientists, go ahead, but leave me out of your apocalyptic fantasies. The world is NOT ending, and we’ll be fine at 350ppm CO2.
Its called 7000.org.
Its goal is to raise the CO2 level in the atmosphere back to 7000 ppm, the level it was at during the Carboniferous period, a time of glaciation which saw an explosion of life on Earth.
For too long this precious CO2 has remained locked in massive trash dumps created by our great^32 ancestors. We must clean up these dumps and return this precious resource back into the atmosphere where it belongs.
