This stylishly impractical backlit logo iPhone casemod involves a Dremel and apparently doesn’t affect battery life. I’d be curious to see if there was any material on the build process as the video only shows the end result.

I would guess that the apple logo was dremeled out and some plastic was used to fill the hole, the same way as in apple’s laptops, then the path was cleared between the hole and the back of the screen backlight (which may already be cleared, or they may have cut some of the material on the back of th backlight).
This just uses the backlight of the screen to light the apple logo, just like their laptops, so that’s why it doesn’t affect battery life.
This is a sweet mod. I just came across this mod of an NES controller being used as an iphone dock!
