I made one of these a long time ago on a camping trip. One note: Make sure the caps on the barrels are on the top, above the water line (they are on the bottom in the picture) They will leak eventually. Trust me, I know from experience.
Oh, my dad built me one of these when I was a kid, for use on our pond. It was a free-floating raft, though. It got a lot of use.
When I was a kid, my dad built the subdivision we lived in and he built a lake. We made a bunch of these docks. This post brings back great memories. Ah… to be a kid again…
