In January, many of the remote MAKE/CRAFT team members (myself included) convened at the Maker Media headquarters at O’Reilly Media in Sebastopol, California. Take a look behind the scenes of your favorite DIY publications as Goli Mohammadi gives us a tour!

    Neat!

Nice to see faces and ‘actual human interaction’ with the names I have grown to recognize. And to see a few to watch for :)

    Thank you!!!

I remember when I made my first visit to the office, and how excited I was to see it, and to put faces to all of the names and the work. It’s so great for Becky and Goli to have done this video so that everybody gets to go on the 10-cent tour just like I did.

I was also struck by how few people there were. I kept thinking, wait: This small office and this handful of people (plus a few more) do (at that time): two magazines, the Maker Faires, the Maker Shed, two websites, Make: Books, the videos, etc? It still astounds me how much gets done by so few people.
