Why couldn’t they have had these when I was a kid. These will be perfect for a round of brikwars too.
These surfaced on Flickr at the end of last year – a preview of the upcoming Toy Story Lego sets. As a ginormous Toy Story and Lego fan, I was thrilled.
This is the first of the Toy Story sets that we’ve purchased for my son (and … uh … me
and it is a really nice one. I love that it comes with so many minifigs, and the jeep is really sturdy. And, of course, the bases for the minifigs that complete the “little green army men” transformation are just plain awesome. LOVE IT!
Next on my list is nabbing a set that has the tiny green martian in it -they are my favorite characters from the movies. The minifigs for them are short-legged! Mashups FTW!
As kids, my brother and I burned, melted and destroyed countless army men. But legos always remained unscathed. Something about legos made us revere them more.
So there’s a little piece of me that says one of these little guys should be sacrificed to old childhood memories and be hit by a “flamethrower attack.” Then there’s the little piece that feels like I’m committing blasphemy just for thinking it.
Yeah, I once experimented with whether you could “swell” Lego bricks by soaking them in various organic solvents. Some polymers will swell in this way. I couldn’t make a Lego brick do it. They either completely resist the solvent or dissolve into a pile of colored powder. And even though I was only using 1×2 plates, it still felt kind of awful to be destroying Lego elements.
I got this set its pretty cool but Megabloks army Legos are much better, they have a HUIGE ARMY SELECTION

i am 12 and i love it. but now my question is why can’t they make modern combat soldiers and weapons. i have made lego germans and jungle soldiers.
