This minute-long short by Mindfruit Studios is called “Memoirs of a Scanner,” and was made using only a scanner, plus software to stitch the still images together into a movie. It has characters, special effects, and a coherent plot that tells the story of an episode in the life of a business office. From the copier’s perspective. [via Neatorama]

I’m not sure about the “only” bit. If anyone has used scanners, they could tell you that if the lid is open you’ll get black areas when anything is more than about an inch away.

I’d say its more like using “a scanner’s perspective”

So how, precisely, did they get the software to run on the scanner, and how did they get the finished video from the scanner to youtube?
