Charles Pax of NYC Resistor is working on a neat project, a heated conveyor belt allowing you to print multiple objects without having to manually remove each output — the conveyor rolls the items off into a hopper as it’s completed, while still packing the same benefits as the heated build platform. The secret is a the belt, which is made from two layers of Kapton tape, with the sticky sides facing each other. Charles is sharing his preliminary design files if you want to help out.

If you want to make a longer belt you could get kapton film without the adhesive. Splice it with the tape. It will be more uniform and you can get it wider and longer than most rolls of tape.

    Nice idea!
