MAKE hits the Red Carpet?

“Emmy-nominated Make: television.” Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Hard to image? Well, it’s true! We found out this weekend that Make: television was nominated in the “Outstanding Lifestyle Program” category for a Daytime Emmy! The show is up against Martha Stewart and This Old House. Martha? Kevin O’Connor? Move over! There’s a new face of daytime DIY. It’s John Edgar Park — and he’s brandishing a burrito blaster!

Congratulations to the amazing Richard Hudson (Executive Producer), Bill Gurstelle, John Park, Nick Watts, and the entire tpt National Productions crew, Keith Hammond, who coordinated things on our end, all the makers featured, and everybody else involved in bringing this wonderful show to television.

I really enjoyed Season One. An Emmy would be well deserved.

The local PBS station (Oregon Public Broadcasting) supplied it in HD, which was a real treat.

Any prospect of a second season?

(I heard that Adam Savage brought a flashlight in his tux for the Emmys – apparently, he goes NOWHERE without one)
