This weekend’s Hackers on Planet Earth convention in New York City will include hams transmitting under the special event call-sign N2H, and anyone who makes contact gets a cool QSL card.

I emailed organizer bernieS and got the scoop:

Amateur Radio station N2H at HOPE – call-in frequencies:

146.550MHz 2Meter band

446.050MHz 70cm band

28.370MHz 10 Meter band

14.270MHz 20 Meter band

7.260MHz 40 Meter band

3.885MHz 75 Meter band

And if we confirm contact with your amateur radio station, we’ll mail you this limited-edition HOPE N2H QSL card designed by renowned hacker cartoonist Ed Piskor: http://www.wizzywigcomics.com/?p=162

Hope to see you on the (amateur) radio from The Next HOPE!

I’m dying to get my hands on one of those QSLs, pictured above. With any luck, I’ll be transmitting from the Hack Factory this weekend.

Apparently, there aren’t any CW hackers in the bunch. I wonder what I can do about that?
