Very cute project!
One caveat: PLEASE make sure the 90mm fan guard you use for the grilling surface is not cadmium plated! Folks used to use salvaged refrigerator shelves for BBQ grills, and were getting heavy metal poisoning. Cadmium significantly vaporizes at cooking temps and will contaminate your food.
