  1. I wonder if you could use the vibration motors from an old Sony DualShock controller to make a larger one? It has two motors in it with eccentric weights.

    Not sure about all these new, fandangled, robot toys. In my day it was all Weebles. Weebles wobbled, but they never fell down.

      I believe the motors in DualShock controllers are coin shaped, rather than tubes. So they’ll work, but you’ll need to cut the tin in a different shape.

      At the last Bay area Maker Faire a visitor who I only know as ’79spitfire’ found that hot-gluing a coin to the bottom made them fall over less and spin even more hypnotically.
