Wow! Some do those are truly, horribly over the top. I prefer understated. A Lamy 2000 is my fountain pen of choice and my every day pen. VERY understated. Beautiful Bauhaus design, interesting materials and lovely to write with. A good pen makes you want to just keep writing in the same way a good sports car makes you want to keep driving.
