   The speed at which he’s working, the long sleeves and his seeming casual attitude towards the proximity of the blade to his fingers leaves me wondering how the guy still has all his appendages.

   This is an old scrollsaw technique.

   He did it extremely well and without a pattern.

   All that said, I echo the safety comments that were already made.
