A Burning Man project from 2007 by Matt Bell, the giant Settlers of Catan game now appears at various conventions and festivals. Action shots and construction pics in Matt’s Flickr set. Apparently the role of “robber” is occasionally played by a life-size cardboard cutout of a guy in a suit.

The cutout “guy in a suit” robber is of George W. Bush.
I made it.
Hi Nathan! This is Matt Bell. Also, I’m actually the co-creator. The other main creator is Julie Von Bergen. You can follow the whereabouts of the game at @giantsettlers on Twitter.
nice work
My sister and I made a giant setters out of mostly felt. We sometimes take it to CA gaming conventions (it is inside only or the pieces tend to blow away). We also made matching muffin caps so everyone knows who’s who. Here’s a pic from someone playing it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10302709@N05/954680468/
where are the giant dice?
