If Len Cullum’s Skill Set pieces have been getting you in the mood to try your hand at some woodworking, check out these gorgeous sawhorses he shows you how to build on Make: Projects. Based on the trestles from a Japanese woodworking bench, they’re moderately difficult to build, but Len does a clear job of describing the process, the tools required are pretty basic, and the procedures are not that hard if carefully undertaken. And look how swanky the results are!

While these sawhorses are about the most awesome work support I’ve ever seen, I’ll probably never build them. It seems a bit ludicrous to me to require a table saw, and mortise-and-tenon joints, to build saw horses. Combine these with a nice plank and you’ve got yourself a pretty awesome table. But I’d be afraid to use these in the wood shop for fear of damaging them!
The point is, to the Japanese, beauty is a part of the utility of something. The dont usually make ugly. Even if it’s “everyday” they dont see a need for it to not look good as a part of its functionability.
You have given a very good and a nice information about Building Japanese Sawhorses. The information which you have given is beneficial for me also for others who wants to know this. I liked and very much impressed by this.

Beautiful sawhorse, they look like a fun weekend project. Great step by step instructions and photos. They are going to make a very nice addition to my shop.
thanks
