Why is the top video such total junk? Do you guys seriously not have a decent digital cam? The video is choppy and stuttering, and except for the commentator, the audio is almost unintelligible. My smartphone would be a huge improvement over this thing. Would have loved to really see the details on the mechanical bar, but this whole thing is just sad.
The interview with EMSL in this episode was over Skype with a not-so-great connection somewhere between the coasts. We tried lots of tricks over the course of Make: Live to bring you cool projects LIVE from all over the place, in this one case the archive didn’t live up to the live experience, check out other episodes (they get better as they go along) and cut us some slack. =] Also, EMSL has lots of info about the drink making unit on their site: http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/barbot2011
