I really dig this street sign furniture by Texas-based designer Tim Delger, who classifies it as art, furniture, and stolen government property. [via Unconsumption]

If you’d rather do it without risking an outcome like this, you can simply call your local DOT and ask if they have any old signs they want to get rid of. These things get replaced regularly, and the old ones will have accumulated lots of character.

For those too lazy to follow the link: stealing a sign makes you criminally liable for anything that happens as a result of the absence of that sign. Think about it.
