probably one of the simplest things i have ever seen.
very clever indeed.
I would never have imagined that it would be as simple as just reversing the leads of the coil to actually make the clock go backwards. I thought that the gear and escapement mechanisms only worked in one direction.
I’ll definitely try to duplicate this when I get back home….
Infact, I’m afraid that reversing the coil is not sufficient to reverse the rotation of a two-poles motor.
To do so I once had to modify the shape of the stator. Some motor arrangment might require different actions, but I’m totally sure that reversing the coil won’t work!. That guy’s clock is (definitely) working in reverse.
…nice hack, anyways!

Great! Sometimes the most obvious approach is overlooked.
Very clever – thankee!
Some nearly as clever person will now figure how to do with this an LCD digital display…?
Sometimes you see a post and you just think Bravo !
Simple Elegant…Brilliant!
You can get backwards clock movements on the net for about 7 bucks.
That rules man, outstanding.
