I’m always on the lookout for interesting horizontal docking options. There are a few handset manufactures that choose to use a horizontal option for docking, but usually end up sticking the charging port on the side of the phone, which tends to be a little awkward. Fortunately with the iPhone you get the one option, which gets you the slick design, but leaves you with mostly vertical docking options. Enter the c/dock from Portland area maker James Aloysius. It’s a well designed hunk of walnut with either a brushed aluminum or black resin faceplate that allows you to charge and display your phone in the viewer friendly horizontal orientation. Another option, also cheaper: http://appstandstore.com/appstand.html Could possibly be combined with a minty boost or hacked to have the same charging capabilities as the c/dock.
