What a beautiful piece of work! Yet, I believe that there is a slight graphical hoax in the line drawings of the action. The misimpression being that the triangular pieces as they move against one another can stay exactly within the bounding outer rectangle. That is, starting with the upper right illustration where there is no central diamond void, move any of the triangular pieces and their boundary will protrude from the bounding box. (drove me nigh nuts thinking that it would be otherwise)
