Incidentally the remote globe that Luke spars with, is one typically used by individuals such as he to properly learn the way of the Force, and that of how to use the weapon of those individuals. It’s also used by Han to perfect his gunnery.

I mentioned the NASA angle mostly to get people to realize that these gadgets they have in their pockets are also amazing little computers capable of doing more than making a phone call or playing a video game.

Agreed. I’ve been trying to convince my local Linux community of that fact. And all I get are fuzzy stares. They just don’t believe it.

I do recall that in an article in an earlier issue the folks at Moffet
Field (Ames Research), near Google, were working with the phones for
near space activities.
