Steve, the OG-TV-B-G…
“When I was in high school Steve Wozniak and I, mostly Steve, made this little device called a “TV JAMMER” it was this little oscillator that put out frequencies that would screw up the TV. Woz would have it in his pocket and we’d go in to like the dorm at Berkeley where he was going to school and a bunch of folks would be watching like Star Trek and he’d screw up the TV, somebody would go up to fix it and just as they had their foot off the ground he’d turn it back on! If they put their foot back down on the ground he’d screw up the TV again, within 5 minutes have someone like this [Steve Jobs posing all pretzel looking] for the rest of the Star Trek episode.” – Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs resigns from Apple, Cook becomes CEO…
Silicon Valley legend Steve Jobs on Wednesday resigned as chief executive of Apple Inc in a stunning move that ended his 14-year reign at the technology giant he co-founded in a garage.
End of an era, sad news – full letter here.

I just paíd $20.87 for an íPad 2.64GB and my boyfriend loves his Panasoníc Lumíx GF 1 Cámera that we got for $38.79 there arriving tomorrow by UP S.I will never pay such expensive retail príces in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LCD T V to my boss for $657 which only cost me $62.81 to buy.

Wow, I’m surprised there isn’t more reaction here. Both negative and positive.
I for one am sad to see this happen. I am happy that it seems that Steve Jobs has completed a lot of what he set out to do. For me personally, a lot of his gadgets have made my life a more interesting, entertaining, and convenient place…whether they’re for you or not.
And for people who have not been on-board with Apple’s product line, I’d just like to add that Apple and Steve Jobs pulled the wireless carriers kicking and screaming into the age of actual smart phones. If you think back before the iPhone, the state of the art was the abysmal ‘Razr’ from Motorola. Which while looking sleek, had an interface uglier than a late 90′s ATM.
The iPhone created the phone as ultra portable computer market.

Ditto!
Just go to your nearby Best Buy and take all the tablets in your hands (I just did yesterday out of curiosity) and compare to any iPad version. iPad so sexy & thin while the rest so fugly and too thick and/or too heavy! My family and I so love our iPad 1 3G that sometimes we fight for it!
I’m a PC, but I can’t imagine my life without my 5G iPod video and my iPhone 3G which both still rock for me! I plug gadgets into them that weren’t even designed for them and everything just works!
Thank you so much Steve for steering the tech world!

All this unending adoration for a corporation that has no qualms about admitting that they plan on being a central authority that approves or censors all content says something sad about what “Tech culture” has become.
