Atarity from Izhevsk in the Russian Federation wrote in to share his project, Lightpack, a LED-managing board that plugs into a display and changes the RGB levels depending on what is displayed on the screen.

Looks nice, but for me this project is not so useful as I don’t plays my movies on the TV from a PC. I have a DVD player, a set-top box connected from my ISP and a media player (not PC based) connected to it. Not a PC within visible range.
If the device had a hdmi or composite video input I’d be getting one (or building a clone) this instant.

I allready etched the board and found most of the components (by coincidece i ordered 100 smd rgb leds yesterday) but i couldn’t find any store to sell the led driver chip (i’m from germany) anyone know a compatible one, that is easyer to get?
