Laurent Laveder is a landscape astrophotographer. No, really. That’s his job! OK, he’s also an astronomy journalist, if that makes you feel any better. But it’s his amazing astrophotography, especially his series called Moon Games, that really inspires awe… and lots of FB/G+ reposting.

  3. My wife and I have tried taking pictures like this and the moon always shows up as very, very small. Guess we have to learn about f-stops and exposure settings and the like, huh?

These pictures are very nice. I am extremely jealous.

    • A longer focal length will make the moon appear larger in comparison to whatever is in the foreground, this is due to perspective compression and will work with anything by making them appear closer together.
