In recognition of the makers participating in the RI Mini Maker Faire, the Mayor of Providence has declared September 10 to be Makers’ Day!

The Creative Capital—this name sums up what fuels innovation and progress in Providence. From its educational institutions with strengths in engineering and design to its innovative culture of startups, the people of Providence have been hard at work making things for centuries. We’re grateful, excited, and humbled that Mayor Angel Taveras has honored the Rhode Island Mini Maker Faire and the Providence maker community with this proclamation.
