A Melbourne, Florida-based outfit called Parker Brothers Choppers, has released a video of a full-scale electric Tron lightcycle replica in action. They are claiming a top speed of 100 MPH and a range of 100 miles without recharging.

Previously, they built a gasoline-powered version that you can still actually buy, but the electric motor sounds much more authentic. The same company also built a replica of the Batpod.

Now we just need to convince them to show up at the next Maker Faire!

100mph… I’ll believe it when I see it. Looks to me like about 20mph max in the video and the constant risk of tipping over if the speed with too sharp of turns.

I would like to see a video of its top performance, was a bit disappointed in the video, although esthetically it looks amazing! I think with a little work you could make a killer video, you guys should really pull in a real videographer / scriptwriter, you got an amazing looking product that needs a better promotional video that gives this thing the representation it deserves, seriously, awesome job on the gear!
