Another cool technique for your bag of CNC panel-cutting tricks.  The booklets and photos shown here are from the Dutch firm Snijlab lasersnijden (which, obviously, translates as “Snijlab Laser Ninjas”).   The method is kind of like kerf-bending, but the cuts go all the way through the substrate. 1. How well would that hold up under daily use? I know that there’s metal fatigue–or perhaps more properly, work hardening. Is there such a thing as wood fatigue?

  2. “(which, obviously, translates as “Snijlab Laser Ninjas”)” Not quite; Snijlab lasersnijden would be Cutlab lasercutting when literally translated. Lovely cuts though. :)
