Zachary Rukstela of Kinetic Steamworks considers himself the steward of the pieces of vintage steam technology he owns. He operates a steam powered vehicle at Maker Faire Bay Area 2011, and explains his background in steam, from growing up on a farm, to working on a WWII era steam powered destroyer.

Greetings,
Nice edit. Thought I’d pass along some hopefully easy clarifications.
Kinetic Steam Works is the correct spelling of the org.
The Steam Roller KSW brought to the Makers Faire was on lone for that event from an sister organization in Willits California, the Roots of Motive Power.
Zachary, being me, was happy to talk with you, but I’d like to make it a clear that KSW, is not simply the zack show, KSW has nearly 20 volunteer staff members that regularly
make the magic happen, so fortunate for each and every one of them
hey lets change: “from growing up on a farm, to working on a WWII era steam powered destroyer.”
to: “younth spent amongst vintage/historical steam driven agricultural equipment, and a decade of volinteer service as a Fireman/Watertender in the Engine Department of the San Francisco based SS Jeremiah O’Brien, one of only two currently operational World War II Liberty ships afloat of the 2,710 build during the war.”
