Simply fill out this quick, five-minute survey and you’ll be entered to possibly win a $150 gift certificate to the Maker Shed! One winner will be chosen at random. Kind of makes you think about what you want, doesn’t it? Would you put the $150 towards a more expensive kit, or get lots of smaller, cheaper components? Maybe you’d want to get all that Maker Faire schwag you didn’t get at the fairs this year. Or perhaps you have all the components you need but want to catch up on some great Make: Books and other great reading material available in the Shed. Now’s your chance to find out!

Is this the same survey posted a few days ago? Just wondering
Just a comment that i could not make in the survey: I live 10 miles from a radioshack. I went to buy some parts to make LED lights on fairy wings for my daughter—This radioshack has NO component section. there are 4 more radioshacks within 100 miles and only 2 of them have components. While my hopes are high for radioshack and being able to buy things from a local store (which i try to do as much as possible), this corporate message of “DIY” has not trickled down to the store level and that bothers me. I am not old enough to remember the good old days, but want to see the good new days….and if i am going to shop online i am going to pick the cheapest parts, regardless of where they come from-this may or may not be radioshack…
Nearest one here is 30 or so miles. Needless to say I avoid extra trips to and from. It is good if you need an on the fly component (read: cant wait for shipping) or need something specialized (their 7 color blinking leds). I like RS, but they just sometimes cant suit my needs (or the limited budget of a HS student)
