One short mile away from downtown Detroit is Brother Nature Produce, a community supported farm run by Greg Willerer. Greg shows us around the farm and discusses his composting venture, which aims to create a closed loop of urban food waste being turned back into food that is healthy and locally produced.

One Response to Brother Nature Produce: Greg Willerer (video)

Hi: My name is Bill Stephens. I work for the Detroit Fire Department, but plan to retire in the near future. I am wondering if I can be of service to your organization after retirement, now. I have an old Ford farm tractor that is fitted with a six (6) foot rotovator. I can till most of this Detroit ground with it, and after twice around it’s like walking on a pillow. I donated some work wirh it about 10 or 12 years ago to Detroit Urban Gardens for the same thing. Buy the gas and oil, and I can do the same thing for you. I did some tilling for a Highland Park High School project last week, and could do so much more. I am keeping the tractor here for the month of May, but usually keep it at my farm in Montcalm County. That’s about 150 miles NW of here. I’m not an accomplished computer person, so if I can help you call me at 313 433 4296.
