This is the third installment of my series on building Rick and Karen Pollack’s MakerGear Mosaic 3D printer. This part covers assembly of the robot’s “X-axis” linear actuator system, and has proven to be the easiest part of the build so far:  the linear rail, idler pulley shaft, rail stops, and stepper motor are simply bolted onto the plywood frame.  Easy!

    Why is everyone laser cutting the enclosures for these 3d printers?  It looks awful.  I would recommend: a mill.
